Summary: | The present calibration facility has been modified during the last years. The existing measurement components such as digital multimeter, multiplexers, current sources and control system for temperature controlling have been replaced. All the necessary modes of operation are now controlled by a personal computer. Calibrations can be done in the temperature range from 1.5 to 300 K, but the range from 1.7 to 30 K is the most emphasized one. For calibrations two secondary standards, germanium and rhodium/iron, are installed. In addition, a vapor pressure measurement system is integrated in order to be able to verify the secondary standards periodically. The main objective is the testing and calibration of low temperature sensors for various cooling circuits and experimental facilities within Applied Superconductivity Projects pursued at the Institute. |
