Summary:The amino acid sequence and the studies which led to the complete sequence determination of the Peptostreptococcus elsdenii flavodoxin are presented in this report. The sequence of the flavodoxin is of interest since it is the first flavoprotein whose sequence has been determined completely. The P. elsdenii flavodoxin is a FMN protein containing 137 amino acids.
