Description
Summary:Binary mixtures of benzene and cyclohexane have been solubilized in aqueous solutions of decyltrimethylammonium bromide. It is observed that the initial solubilization kinetics, as determined by the drop-on-fiber method, shows selection in the initial solubilization process. The rate of solubilization of benzene was found to be greater than that of cyclohexane, in line with its greater equilibrium solubilization capacity, leading to preferential solubilization of the benzene.
