Description
Summary:We demonstrate a new 3D display system with photorefractive crystals named “cached holographic 3D display”. This new system is based on a combination of computer-generated holographic display technology and holographic storage technology, and has the potential to become a universal way of viewing naturally looking 3D images. We use cerium doped strontium barium niobate crystals as a temporary storage medium in the system. The crystals include striations, which degrade the display resolution.
