Terpolymerization of “Special” systems
The terpolymerization of the systems acrylamide-acrylonitrile-methacrylic acid and methacrylamide-N,N-diethylaminoethylmethacrylate hydrochloride-2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate in water to 5–10% degrees of conversion has been studied. It is shown that the experimentally determined composition of the ter...

Summary: | The terpolymerization of the systems acrylamide-acrylonitrile-methacrylic acid and methacrylamide-N,N-diethylaminoethylmethacrylate hydrochloride-2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate in water to 5–10% degrees of conversion has been studied. It is shown that the experimentally determined composition of the terpolymers greatly differs from that calculated with reference to the binary copolymerization constants found. The deviations recorded are put down to intermolecular interactions of varied kinds in these systems. |
