Summary: | The dependence of the MMD of prepolymers based on oligobutadiene diols and 2,4-toluylene diisocyanate on the conditions of synthesis and functionality of the initial oligomer has been studied theoretically and experimentally. It has been shown that the formation of urethane isocyanates, chain propagation at temperatures above 50°, as well as side reactions, all occur during prepolymer synthesis. A method of treatment of gel chromatograms of prepolymers is suggested which takes account of the effect of terminal functional groups. |
