Summary: | A correlation analysis of published experimental data on coefficients of gas permeability
P, diffusion
D and gas solubility σ has been carried out for a number of polydienes, polysiloxanes, polyolefines, halogen- and silicon-containing carbochain polymers, polymeric ethers and ketones, polyamides and aromatic compounds. Correlation equations relating the properties of gases and gas transfer parameters of polymers and gas-polymer systems have been derived. A classification of known values of
P, D and σ for inert gases and some polyatomic gases has been realized for the studied polymers, and it is shown how these values may be calculated. |
