[( E)-γ-(Dimethylphenylsilyl)allyl]diisopinocampheylborane: a highly enantioselective reagent for the synthesis of anti-β-hydroxyallylsilanes

anti-β-Hydroxyallylsilanes are prepared with 88–95% e.e. via the asymmetric allylboration reactions of aldehydes and [( E)-γ-(dimethylphenylsilyl)allyl]diisopinocampheylborane ( 7).
