Summary:The Generalized Clemens Coupling R 0—RSRR and its variant mechanisms R 0-SRRR , R 0—RRSR and R 0—RRRS are kinematically analysed by using the vector algebraic method. The closed-form input-output displacement equations of those mechanisms are derived as fourth-order polynomials. As compared to previous related works, the new approach presented in this paper is characterized by its standard analysis steps, compact expressions and simplicity.
