Summary: | Within the framework of the realisation of the directive on
Integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC-Directive 96/61/EG), the techniques and the possible abatement options for numerous industrial sectors have to be characterised on a process level with regard to environmental benefits, technical practicability and especially economic feasibility. Annex I lists a series of industrial activities that are concerned by the IPPC-Directive, especially “
installations for the surface treatment of substances,
objects or products using organic solvents,
in particular for dressing,
printing,
coating,
degreasing,
waterproofing,
sizing,
painting,
cleaning or impregnating” (Annex I, No. 6.7). This paper gives an overview about the determination of candidate techniques for best available techniques (BAT) for the sectors adhesive and paint application in Germany. |
