Pyrolysis of triphenylphosphineacetylmethylenetrimethyltin chloride

Pyrolysis of triphenylphosphineacetylmethylenetrimethyl-tin chloride results in dissociation to trimethyltin chloride and the ylid, both identified by elemental analysis and I.R. spectroscopy. No significant change was observed on continual heating of the ylid residue.
