Summary: | A worldwide overview of processing technology of solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) components is given and the fabrication techniques of ceramic components are summarized for the different types of SOFCs. Generally, a tendency towards up-scalable and automatizable processes is observed.
In addition, critical points of interconnect materials and interconnect fabrication are stressed. Especially for planar cell designs, the chromium contamination of the cathode and interfacial corrosion is regarded as the weak points to be solved for demonstration of planar SOFC units. |
