Summary: | The method of data interpretation of complex formation in mixed water-organic solvents is substantiated and developed. This method is based on the analysis of the logarithmic dependency of determinable constants of stability on the logarithm of water molar concentration. It is possible to determine the dentation of ligands by the angle coefficient of these linear dependencies in case they are whole numbers. The organic component molecules entering the inner coordination sphere of the central ion, stoichiometricly determined interaction of ligand particles with the cosolvent molecules, simultaneous formation of intra-, extraspheric complexes result in deviations from linear coefficients to the lesser side. Coordination sphere reorganization can cause both positive and negative deviations. There are some possible specific effects such as simultaneous display of different dentation by some ligands, attachment of cosolvent molecules to a complex, etc. |
