Description
Summary:The study presents results from numerical investigations aimed at developing a dynamic mass analyzer of a new type with more advanced analytical parameters. The mass analyzer consists of an ion source–converter and static energy analyzer of charged particles. Ion source converts ion mass differences into differences of their final energy. The spatial separation of the ions as well as the particle energy spectrum is obtained in the energy analyzer. This energy spectrum relates uniquely to the mass spectrum. Parameters of the mass analyzer are: operational mass range 1–1000 u, relative resolution ∼1000 and compatibility in the same device of methods of mass spectrometry and electron spectrometry for solving various research and technological problems.
