Synthesis of μ2-phenoxy-bridged binuclear cadmium(II) cryptates and X-ray crystal structure of one of them
Four binuclear cadmium(II) cryptates have been synthesized by [2+3] Schiff-base condensation of tris(3-aminopropyl)amine with sodium 2,6-diformyl-4-R-phenolates (R = OCH 3, CH 3, Br and Cl) in the presence of Cd(ClO 4) 2·6H 2O. The crystal structure of the cryptate of macrocyclic L 3 (R = Br) [CdL 3...

Summary: | Four binuclear cadmium(II) cryptates have been synthesized by [2+3] Schiff-base condensation of tris(3-aminopropyl)amine with sodium 2,6-diformyl-4-R-phenolates (R = OCH
3, CH
3, Br and Cl) in the presence of Cd(ClO

2O. The crystal structure of the cryptate of macrocyclic L
3 (R = Br) [CdL
3] (ClO
4) was determined by X-ray diffraction. Each cadmium(II) atom is bonded to three
μ
2-phenoxy oxygen atoms and three imine atoms. The coordination geometry of Cd
II is considered an irregular distorted octahedron. |
