Summary:We exactly obtain the momentum distribution for the electrons in a one-dimensional model of a quantum wire viewed as a Luttinger liquid that contains impurities which cause the scattering of plasmons. From our results and experimental data we conclude that the electron-electron pair interaction cannot have inverse power singularities at zero momentum transfer.
