Summary: | Polypyrrole (PPy) films were prepared at different electropolymerization current densities on titanium dioxide (TiO
2) microporous films deposited on indium-tin oxide (ITO) substrates (
ITO
TiO
2
). Current-voltage (
I-
V) characteristics of ITO/TiO
2/PPy/Al microporous diodes were measured, revealing that the current density for electropolymerizing PPy affects not only the conductivity of PPy films but also the rectifying ratios for the ITO/TiO
2/PPy/Al diodes. An optimum current density for electropolymerizing PPy films corresponds to a potential close to the oxide potential. |
