Summary:The results of the susceptibility and polarization measurements as well as the photographs of the domain structure in the TGS crystals previously influenced by the electric field perpendicular to the b -axis have been presented. Rigid striped domains, parallel to the c -axis, have been observed. It has also been shown that the susceptibility maximum of such crystals occurs at a temperature higher than the critical one.
