Description
Summary:The phonon density of states g( ε) of solid parahydrogen is determined from the inelastic incoherent neutron scattering and total cross-section versus energy measurements at pressures up to 1.06 GPa. The very anharmonic phonon spectra with long “tails” and integral parameters versus density were obtained. The role of zero-point vibrations in lattice dynamics of p-H 2 quantum crystal remains significant in the investigated region, over which its density is almost doubled.
