Description
Summary:The 225 kJ 60 kV single-turn coil equipment that recently went into full operation in Berlin, makes it possible to work with magnetic fields above 200 T in a volume of about 1 cm 3. The generation of such high magnetic fields take place on a μs-time scale and is therefore connected with very strong transient electromagnetic pulses, which considerably complicate the measuring procedure. This paper describes the techniques used to record data while taking optical measurements in the infrared range.
