Description
Summary:Silicon carbide sintered with a boron activator was studied by FTIR. The powder technique was routinely used together with the reflection technique for dense polycrystals and ATR technique both powdered and dense samples. It has been stated that the received infrared spectrum depends on the amount of activator, which is related to different polytypic composition and to the formation of a solid solution of boron in the silicon carbide lattice.
