Summary: | Novel hydrogels of cationic nature were synthesized by gamma-radiation copolymerization of vinyl ethers of monoethanolamine and ethyleneglycol in the presence of cross-linking agent. The effect of absorbed dose on the gel fraction and equilibrium swelling degree of hydrogels in water is shown. It was demonstrated that the hydrogels are able to bind poly(acrylic acid) to form polyelectrolyte complexes with swelling properties typical for polyampholytes. |
