Summary: | Based on the method for ship motions in head waves, the numerical method for predicting ship motions in oblique waves is developed in this paper. The artificial spring model is adopted to control the numerical drifting in sway and yaw motions, while the empirical method is used for roll damping due to viscous effects. To validate present method, the simulated results of Flokstra container in oblique waves are compared with the experimental results. |
