Facile synthesis of NiO nanowires and their gas sensing performance
The NiO nanowires were prepared by a facile PEG assisted hydrothermal method using NiC2O4·2H2O as a precursor compound. The microstructure of the samples was characterized by SEM and XRD. The gas sensing properties of the NiO nanowires toward ethanol was also investigated. The results show that PEG...

Summary: | The NiO nanowires were prepared by a facile PEG assisted hydrothermal method using NiC2O4·2H2O as a precursor compound. The microstructure of the samples was characterized by SEM and XRD. The gas sensing properties of the NiO nanowires toward ethanol was also investigated. The results show that PEG plays a key role in the synthesis of wire-like NiO. The NiO nanowires show excellent sensing performances to ethanol gas. This morphology holds substantial promise for applying NiO as a potential gas sensing material for future sensor application. |
