Summary:This article describes the precise surgical technique of arthroscopic meniscal repair with fibrin glue and long-term follow-up study of 61 repaired menisci in 40 patients (average follow-up, 8 years; range, 5.1 to 11.4 years). We also introduce the results of our experimental study performed to evaluate the properties of fibrin glue and fibrin glue-containing marrow cells to promote meniscal healing. Finally, our most recent surgical indications are reported.
