Summary:Arthroscopic repair of full-thickness rotator cuff tears is currently performed by a number of surgeons. The goals, indications, and postoperative rehabilitation are identical to traditional open repair. The principles of the operative technique are also identical to open repair, with the differences occurring in the manner in which the tendon is repaired to bone. This article describes in detail the operative technique for the repair of a full-thickness rotator cuff tear.
