Description
Summary:The electrochemical behaviors of hydroxylamine at the benzoylferrocene modified carbon nanotubes paste electrode (BFCNPE) have been studied. The modified electrode shows an excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxidation of hydroxylamine and accelerates electron transfer rate. The electrocatalytic currents increased linearly with the hydroxylamine concentration in the ranges of 0.9400.0 μM and the detection limit for hydroxylamine was 0.1 μM. The diffusion coefficient and the kinetic parameters such as the electron transfer coefficient and the heterogeneous rate constant for hydroxylamine were determined using electrochemical approaches. Finally, the method was employed for the determination of hydroxylamine in water samples.
