Summary:This paper presents a printed crossed-dipole antenna with circular polarization for global positioning system (GPS) L1 (1575 MHz) receivers. The antenna structure composed of two printed dipoles located orthogonally, two printed baluns to feed the dipoles and a feed network connected to the baluns. A branch-line coupler with two differential outputs creates the feed network. Accordingly, two orthogonal dipoles are feeding with a 90° phase difference leads to circularly polarization which is suitable for GPS applications. Experimental results confirm that the proposed GPS antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 950 MHz with S11
