Summary: | [Display omitted]
•A novel cobalt molecular catalyst (Co-2TPABTz) sensitized by Ag NPs were synthesized successfully.•Those composites are confirmed by XRD, TEM, EDS, ICP-AES, Raman and XPS analysis.•Composite 3 possessed excellent photocatalytic activity (20.65mmolh−1g−1) under visible light illumination.•It also maintained outstanding long-term stability after eight-cycle tests (32h) as well.•A mechanism was put forth to explain the role of Ag NPs among the composites.
Triphenylamine functionalized bithiazole-cobalt complex (Co-2TPABTz) sensitized by Ag nanoparticles (NPs) exhibit highly efficient photocatalytic hydrogen generation. The resulting composite 3 showed excellent photocatalytic activity (20.65mmolh−1g−1) under visible light illumination, and maintained outstanding long-term stability after eight-cycle tests (32h) as well. |
