Description
Summary:In modern times, any disturbances caused by natural or artificial factors to technological systems must be identified and eliminated promptly. Space weather has been acknowledged for more than ten years as a key cause of breakdowns in numerous ground- and space-based technology systems that are essential to human life. Thus, this article about research interest trends related to space weather events (SWEs), from all around the world was analyzed through bibliometric analysis using Scopus publications from 1994 until 2022. Initially, 2779 journal articles on SWE were collected over the course of 28 years, but only 1713 were retained when review articles were omitted. The study also presents the trends of co-authorships in correspondence to countries/academic institutions and co-occurrences of author keywords. Since 2005, the number of publications regarding SWE has steadily increased, resulting in a substantial library of publications until 2022. The three top-ranked nations that produced the most papers with the highest levels of international collaboration and networking are the United States, the United Kingdom, and China.
