Summary: | The detailed design steps and the idea of connecting M-flow and truncated Busemann flow are given in this paper. A new improved method is proposed to effectively reduce the size of the expansion zone in the original parent flowfield. The database of MBus parent flowfield at free-stream Mach 4 and Mach 6 is provided. Finally, a Mach-6 M-Busemann intake is designed to verify the performance of the improved parent flowfield. The CFD results show that the overall performance of M-Busemann intake has a good aerodynamic achievement, with a total pressure recovery reaching a very high value of 0.55. The influence of the calorically perfect model and thermally perfect model on the performance of the intake is not particularly obvious. |
