Consecutive Dual Failure Mode shock systems

In the present article, we introduce a consecutive dual failure mode (DFM) shock system. The proposed structure involves two different types of damage (F1,F2) whenever a shock takes place. Description
Summary:In the present article, we introduce a consecutive dual failure mode (DFM) shock system. The proposed structure involves two different types of damage (F1,F2) whenever a shock takes place. The failure of the new DFM shock model comes if and only if an uninterrupted sequence of either kF1’s or rF2’s occurs (k≤r). The lifetime TS of the system whom the shock interarrival time follows a discrete distribution is studied by the aid of the waiting time till at least one of the above-mentioned failure criteria is satisfied. Closed formulae are provided for the probability generating function and moments of the distribution of TS, along with a recursive scheme for the calculation of its probability mass function.
