A novel carbon supported PtAuFe as CO-tolerant anode catalyst for proton exchange membrane fuel cells
In this work, a series of carbon supported PtAuFe catalysts are prepared via a microwave-irradiated polyol process. Both the synthesis route and the content of Fe in the catalysts are investigated. The single cell tests and the gas chromatography analyses reveal that the PtAuFe/C catalysts are promi...

Summary: | In this work, a series of carbon supported PtAuFe catalysts are prepared via a microwave-irradiated polyol process. Both the synthesis route and the content of Fe in the catalysts are investigated. The single cell tests and the gas chromatography analyses reveal that the PtAuFe/C catalysts are promising as CO-tolerant anode electro-catalysts for proton exchange membrane fuel cells application. On the basis of the results of both the CO stripping voltammetry measurements and the gas chromatography analyses, the mechanism for the enhanced performance of the PtAuFe/C catalysts is preliminarily explored. |
