Description
Summary:Plate-like BaTiO3 (BT) particles were synthesized by the topochemical reaction method and BT textured PMNT ceramics were sintered from 1000°C to 1200°C. The microstructure and properties evolution were investigated in detail. Highly textured PMNT ceramics were obtained by sintering at temperature above 1150°C, and the microstructure also changed from small equiaxed grains to large cubic grains. Ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties improved with increase of sintering temperature. Textured PMNT ceramics sintered at 1150°C exhibit the largest electric field induced strain which was 2 times larger than that of untextured ceramics due to high degree of orientation and relative high density.
