Summary: | In this paper, Ricci dark energy model (RDE) associated with bulk viscosity is studied in the background of f(R,T) gravity in order to describe the cosmic accelerated expansion of the universe. Assuming that the cosmological evolution of universe is governed by the (RDE) model which has bulk viscosity, we deduce, the flat modified Friedmann equations from f(R,T) gravity. For a specific form of f(R,T)=R+2λT model and the bulk viscosity coefficient of the form ξ=ξ0+ξ1H, we derive some cosmological parameters, as the Hubble, the deceleration, the effective equation of state (EoS), the statefinder and Om diagnostic parameters. Our results show that for certain values of the free parameters, our model can be considered as an alternative candidate to describe the dark energy.
•The phase transition is realized at z(t) ≃ 0.6.•The viscous RDE model is able to describe the recent accelerated expansion.•Our model can be considered as an alternative candidate to describe dark energy. |
