Summary:Micro-Abstract To evaluate the therapeutic effect and complications of modified radiation fields for rectal cancer, 160 patients who received total mesorectal excision and postoperative radiotherapy in China were assigned to receive radiotherapy with modified radiation fields or conventional pelvic radiation fields. Modified radiation fields manifested a lower incidence of complications and the same therapeutic effects.
