Summary:The aim of this study was to determine the effect of food intake on heart rate (HR) and blood pressure (BP) in patients with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). Inforty-two subjects (13 males, mean age 29.74±10.61) who fulfilled POTS criteria on an initial tilt table test, a second test was performed: 10-min supine phase followed by a 10-min 70° tilted phase, after the ingestion of 400ml of Nutridrink Multi Fibre® 45-min supine phase followed by a 10-min 70° tilted phase ensued.
