Summary: | This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy).
This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief, based on an anonymous complaint to the journal. There are signs of image manipulation in the paper, specifically in Figures 9a and 10a which are clearly identical despite being reported as different blend designs, as are Figures 11a and 12a. In addition, there was a change in the list of authors during the review process, without sending a consent form from all authors. Further inquiry revealed that the names of the authors Muhammad Irfan-UI-Hassan, Konstantinos G. Kolovos, Enrique Fernandez Ledesma, Andi Yusri and Styliani Papatzani were added to the revised version of the article without exceptional approval by the handling Editor, which is contrary to the journal policy on changes to authorship.
The editor no longer has confidence in the full integrity of the data from this research. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and apologies are offered to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission process. |
