•Human recognize color on the display device under various light sources differently.•This study investigated the relationship between input RGB code and output XYZ.•This study investigated the relationship under various types of light sources.•This study propose a non-contact color correction system under various light sources.•The color correction model was validated by a survey test on two types of display.
Human recognize perceived color on the display device of a smart phone under various types of light sources and illuminance differently even though the display represents the same color. This study investigated the relationship between input RGB code and output color tristimulus (XYZ) on two types of smartphone displays under various types of light sources and illuminances. A non-contact color correction system to transfer similar color with actual object was then proposed under various types of light sources and illuminances. Furthermore, the color correction model was validated by input color RGB predicted for representing the desired color and a survey test on displays of two types of smartphone, iPhone 13 Pro and Galaxy S22. |
