Summary:Basic research on N,N’-diallyl-1,6,7,12-tetraphenoxyperylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboxylic acid diimide (Phenoxy-Allyl- PTCDI, short PA-PTCDI) is presented. Synchrotron photoemission spectroscopy is used in order to investigate a possible chemical interaction of PA-PTCDI on two differently treated silicon substrates. Additional AFM measurements investigate the influence that storage under ambient conditions has on the morphology of thin dye films.
