Description
Summary:This study aimed to assess the levels of Krebs von den Lungen-6 (KL-6), soluble programmed cell death-1 (sPD-1) and soluble programmed cell death ligand-1(sPDL-1) in systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients, and to evaluate their relation with disease parameters. Forty-six SSc patients (31 limited, 15 diffuse) and 43 matched controls were included. Serum levels of KL-6, sPD-1, and sPDL-1 were assessed by enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay (ELISA). Patients mean age was 40.2 ± 12.2 years, disease duration 8.04 ± 6.02 years and females: male was 10.5:1. Levels of KL-6, sPD-1, and sPDL-1 were significantly higher in SSc patients compared to the controls 22.4(14.1–637.6) vs. 14.8(8.9–182.3) (p
