Description
Summary:Highlights ► The roots of Trichosanthes dioica are traditionally used for medicinal purposes in India. ► The protective effect of T. dioica root extract (TDA) against arsenic induced toxicity in albino rats was evaluated. ► TDA was treated orally to rats for 20 days prior to arsenic intoxication for 8 days. ► Then different hematological, serum, hepatic and renal parameters were evaluated. ► Results revealed marked ameliorative effect of TDA in arsenic treated rats by alleviation of oxidative stress.
