Description
Summary:Bones and teeth would be the only available samples from highly decomposed bodies and several methods are reported for the DNA extractions. TBONE EX KIT was used as a new extraction kit for identification of 7 degraded skeletal remains. More than 23pgDNA/μl was extracted from all samples. It was efficient for autosomal STR and mtDNA analysis and the results confirmed the alleged relationship between missing person and their relatives in 5 cases. This kit could be a simple, useful and reliable tool for forensic caseworks.
