Description
Summary:IFN-ɣ is considered as one of the major cytokines in the immune responses against the infections. Various polymorphisms in this gene affect the biological functions, which have the ability to make predisposed individuals to some of the diseases. The aim of this study was investigating of polymorphism of IFN-ɣ gene in Azeri population in the +874 location. Blood samples were collected from 240 healthy and non-relative Azeri population. The determination of IFN-ɣ genotypes was conducted through Allele-specific PCR method after DNA extraction. Thereafter, comparison of the frequency of alleles and IFN-ɣ genotypes with other populations was carried out with q-square test and p-value
