Summary: | This study investigates the relationship between car drivers’ approaches to hydrogen refilling and the associated risks. The focus is on a dispenser operated directly by drivers. The awareness of the consequences of careless operations on hydrogen installations differs among drivers. In this study, models of cautious and careless drivers were considered to analyse how their approach affects the risk of the refuelling process. This research involves the development of scenarios for hazardous events and their consequences, such as fires or explosions. The probabilities calculated for the scenarios, together with the death probabilities for the consequences, allowed us to determine the risks and compare the results for a cautious and careless driver. The highest values of the risk obtained in the research for cautious and careless drivers were 7.68⋅10−5 and 3.22⋅10−4.
