Description
Summary:Recording media for polarization holography based on the new copolymers of 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate with azobenzene monomers have been created and their electrophysical and information properties have been investigated. The increase of the diffraction efficiency of holograms with acceptor substitutes in the structure of azobenzene chromophores is explained by the increase of the dipole moment of the azobenzene chromophores. It was found that at room temperature the velocity of the dark relaxation of holograms recorded with perpendicular and parallel orientations of the polarization of the recording beams is the same. A non-trivial result is a growth of the hologram relaxation velocity under the influence of the polarized light of one of the recording beam. This growth of the velocity is much greater in the case of perpendicular orientations of the polarization of the recording beams.
