Summary: | A novel photovoltaic (PV) cell parameter estimation method based on Rao-1 algorithm is presented in this paper. Rao-1 algorithm is a metaphor-less heuristic search algorithm and only addition and multiplication operations are included. The simple solution updating equation is easy to be implemented on the embedded system of PV panels. The model parameters of a real commercial PV cell are estimated and the performance of the proposed method is compared with other recently published methods. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can be utilized to accurately identify PV cell model parameters. |
