Summary: | The interest towards using Fast Steering Mirror (FSM) assembly in optical communication is mainly fueled by the fact that this device has the capability of precise pointing and stabilization of the beam in optical systems. Scientists across the world are working on modelling and control of FSM that will not only perform efficiently but also guarantee stability. Computationally efficient model of the FSM is one basic demand from scientists, for developing a control strategy of the FSM. Attention is focused on works which involves building a feedback control design to model a FSM. The survey results are not only used to identify the differences and similarities of the approaches, but also used to identify the modelling methodology suitable for a specific application. |
