Summary: | In the recent paper (L. Wang, L.Y. Sun, L.H. Sun, J.B. Wang, On three-machine flow shop scheduling with deteriorating jobs, International Journal of Production Economics 2010, 125, 185–189), a branch and bound algorithm with several dominance properties were presented. In this note, we point out by means of a counter-example that the proposed dominance properties are incorrect and then, we will provide the correct dominance properties.
•We presented a note on paper Wang et al. entitled “On three-machine flow shop scheduling with deteriorating jobs”.•They presented a branch and bound algorithm with several dominance properties.•We showed by means of a counter-example that the dominance properties are incorrect.•We also presented a necessary and sufficient condition for the dominance properties to be true. |
