Summary: | [Display omitted]
In this paper, a 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) immobilized graphene oxide nanocomposite was prepared using a simple robust method. A Cu (II) Schiff base complex was grafted on the nanocomposite. The chemical nature and structure of the final product were characterized by various common techniques. The final product acts as a heterogeneous catalyst for selective aerobic decarboxylation reaction of phenylacetic acid to benzaldehyde under ambient conditions. The heterogeneous catalyst may be reused at least 5 times without significant loss in its catalytic activity. |
